A political economist, Prof. Pat Utomi said he has had conversations with leaders of some opposition parties in Nigeria on a plan to form a new political party that will take power from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Utomi made this revelation in an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday. The Labour Party chieftain also disclosed that he had held discussions with some of the presidential candidates in the last election including Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso over the possibility of bringing all the opposition together to form a new party.
